Ken and Sarah Ramsey's homebred Gung Ho is the 5-2 morning line favorite for the inaugural running of the $150,000 Mystic Lake Derby July 28 at Canterbury Park.
Silver Max took the lead soon after the start and was never headed as he staved off a couple of late challengers to win the American Turf Stakes (gr. IIT) at Churchill Downs May 4.
Silver Max and Howe Great, two of the expected favorites for the $200,000 American Turf (gr. IIT), drew the outside posts in an overflow field May 4 at Churchill Downs.
Following their efforts in the Toyota Blue Grass, winner Dullahan returned to Churchill Downs and Hansen and Gung Ho, who ran second and third, returned to trainer Mike Maker's barn at Trackside Training Center.
Dullahan, with big strides down the center of the racetrack, ran down champion Hansen in the late stages to win the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) April 14 at Keeneland.

Champion Hansen, the 6-5 favorite for the April 14 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I), was schooled in the gate at Keeneland on the morning of April 13 and then jogged over the Polytrack surface at the Lexington track.
Hansen, the 6-5 morning-line choice in a field of 13 in the April 14 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, could go to Louisville as the Kentucky Derby favorite with a win in the signature race at Keeneland.
The final work for probable Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) contender Ever So Lucky came April 10 at Keeneland when he breezed five furlongs in a speedy :57 with Julien Leparoux aboard.
Headed by champion Hansen and Tampa Bay Derby (gr. II) winner Prospective, there are 11 probable starters for the April 14 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland.
Ken and Sarah Ramsey's Gung Ho, a 20-1 shot in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT), was scratched out of the race Nov. 3, opening a position in the starting gate that will now be filled by Tequila Factor.
