Bob Baffert-trained colt will be sidelined indefinitely with a hind end issue.
A busy final day in the second betting pool of Churchill Downs' 2012 Kentucky Derby Future Wager ended with the "All Others" interest narrowly edging individual choice Union Rags to emerge as the pool's favorite.
Kaleem Shah's Fed Biz and Arnold Zetcher's Liaison each worked a sharp six furlongs at Santa Anita Feb. 29 for trainer Bob Baffert in preparation for the March 10 San Felipe Stakes (gr. II).
When one sees a six-furlong work in 1:16 and a mile work in 1:43, the last trainer that comes to mind is Bob Baffert. But those were the respective works Feb. 22 for the Baffert-trained Derby hopefuls Fed Biz and Liaison.
Fed Biz and Bodemeister responded with impressive wins for three-time Derby winner.
