In a battle between the top two 3-year-old fillies in the nation, California invader Blind Luck will take on New York-based Devil May Care in the $500,000 TVG Betfair Alabama Stakes (gr. I) Aug. 21 at Saratoga.
Acting Happy put in her final work the morning of Aug. 16 at Saratoga in preparation for the Aug. 21 Betfair TVG Alabama Stakes (gr. I). Guided by jockey Jose Lezcano, she covered five furlongs in 1:02.64.

Connie and Michael, the 5-1 morning-line co-second choice in today's Betfair TVG Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I) at Saratoga, has been scratched with an abscess on her right front foot.
The top three finishers of the Mother Goose Stakes (gr. I), including winner Devil May Care, top a field of eight in a historic edition of the Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I) July 24 on opening weekend at Saratoga.
Devil May Care took over from stablemate Katy Now at the top of the lane and bounded home for an impressive victory in the $250,000 Mother Goose (gr. I) June 26 at Belmont Park in her first start since the Kentucky Derby.

Trainer Ken McPeek has left his six Breeders' Cup World Championships weekend starters behind for the time being to race during the upcoming Hollywood Park fall meet, he said Nov. 12.
A wide-open field of a dozen 2-year-old fillies was drawn for the $2 million Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), with Blind Luck installed as the lukewarm 3-1 morning-line favorite.
The favorite from the Oak Leaf Stakes (gr. I) at Santa Anita, where the Breeders' Cup World Championships will be run, is in the field for the Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) on Nov. 6. So, too, is the favorite from the Darley Alcibiades (gr. I) at Keeneland, which is also run on a synthetic surface. It should be noted they were favored, but both lost.
