Undefeated Zenyatta caught the outsider Dance to My Tune in deep stretch to register her 15th consecutive victory March 13 in the Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap (gr. I) at Santa Anita.

The late-running Zenyatta gave her fans a scare, as she often does, en route to her 1 1/4-length win. Last of eight at the top of the stretch, jockey Mike Smith opted not to take Zenyatta wide as he usually does, instead guiding her to the inside to launch her bid. Zenyatta weaved through traffic near mid-stretch and took aim at 50-1 shot Dance to My Tune.

You and I Forever likes to make a wide move but generally is a bit closer to the front than he was in the March 13 Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. II). Though not with the leaders this time, he wasn’t far off the pace and the tactic paid off, as the 5-year-old horse won his first stakes by charging from eighth to win by 1 1/2 lengths.

Favored Lookin At Lucky (outside), trying blinkers and dirt for the first time in his 2010 debut, won the Rebel Stakes (gr. II) in a courageous effort at Oaklawn Park March 13. His late bid produced a neck victory over the stubborn Noble's Promise (inside).

Front-running Sidney's Candy, making his first start around two turns, led all the way in winning the San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita March 13.

Lukewarm favorite Warbling scored the first stakes win of her career March 14 when she went gate to wire for jockey Julien Leparoux in the Inside Information Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park.

Padua Stables’ Odysseus (right), who looked like a beaten horse turning for home, re-rallied during an incredible stretch run and nosed out Schoolyard Dreams (left) in the final jump to win a thrilling edition of the Tampa Bay Derby (gr. III) March 13 at Tampa Bay Downs.

Local star Diva Delite notched her fifth consecutive win and proved herself in graded stakes company, as she rolled past rivals coming off the final turn en route to a two-length victory in the Florida Oaks (gr. III) March 13 at Tampa Bay Downs.

Making her 4-year-old debut, Rachel Alexandra was stunned by Zardana, who tackled the reigning Horse of the Year at the top of the stretch and outdueled the heavy favorite to win by three parts of a length in the New Orleans Ladies Stakes March 13 at Fair Grounds.
