    News came in around our 'hot stove' during the last week in the form of foal announcements from farms popping buttons over the initial reports on the first arrivals from last year's first-year sires.

  • Tamarkuz--Aly Baran filly is the first reported foal for the Shadwell stallion. Filly was born Jan. 20 at Richie Donworth's Scarteen Stud

    First Reported Foal a Filly for Tamarkuz

    Tamarkuz, winner of the 2016 Las Vegas Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1), was represented by his first reported foal Jan. 20. The filly is out of the unraced Aldebaran mare Aly Baran and was born at Scarteen Stud in Central Kentucky.
