    Owners Susan and Charles Chu announced Nov. 30 that their champion sprinter by Gio Ponti has been sold to the Shadai Group and will stand at Shadai Stallion Station in Hokkaido. Drefong won three grade 1 stakes and earned more than $1.5 million.

    Astrology, a leading first- and second-crop stallion, has been relocated to Acadiana Equine@Copper Crowne near Opelousas, La., for the 2018 breeding season. The son of A.P. Indy—Quiet Eclipse, by Quiet American, will stand for a fee of $4,500.

    Herringswell Stables announced June 28 that five-time grade 1 winner Better Talk Now was euthanized late June 27 at New Bolton Center due to complications from colic surgery. The dark bay gelded son of Talkin Man was 18.
