He never backed down from a fight, and wherever they entered him, he ran. Wise Dan galloped his way through the most consistent season delivered by a racehorse in 2013 to edge Point of Entry and Magician for Turf Male honors.
A steady campaign placed Wise Dan squarely at the top of the Male Turf Horse category for the Eclipse Awards, an honor he won last season when sweeping Horse of the Year and Older Horse.

The two American entries drew reasonably well for the Dec. 8 Longines Hong Kong International Races, but not without a little drama for King Kreesa in the Hong Kong Mile (HK-I).
Synthetic specialist Summer Hit controlled the pace as the 4-5 favorite and drew off in the stretch for a one-sided victory in the $100,000 Berkeley Handicap (gr. III) Nov. 29 on the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate Fields.
