    Better Lucky, a dual grade I winner on turf who won her first start on dirt in more than two years last month at Saratoga Race Course, returns to the upstate New York oval for the $500,000 Ballerina Stakes (gr. I) Aug. 23.

  • Garrett Gomez was unseated from his mount Jadal at the start of the seventh race on Monmouth Park's opening day card.

    Two Riders at Monmouth Taken for X-Rays

    Jockeys Garrett Gomez and Carlos H. Marquez Jr. were taken to a nearby hospital after separate incidents at Monmouth Park. Gomez was taken after the seventh race; Marquez after the eighth.
