Richard Bahde's Cougar Ridge, claimed for $62,500 in April, won his fourth race in a row when he rallied from just of the pace to capture the $250,000 Delta Mile Nov. 21 at Delta Downs in Louisiana.
Mister Pollard and rider Ricardo Santana Jr. were much the best in the $150,000 Governor's Stakes, winning by 7 3/4 lengths at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino Aug. 6.
Cowboy Cal was represented by his first U.S. winner when in his second start Tachi captured a maiden special weight race at Indiana Downs Aug. 27.
First crop sire Old Fashioned was represented by his first winner when Chicks Dig It posted a front-running victory at odds of 5-1 in a 5 1/2-length maiden race at Presque Isle Downs July 14.

In spite of consistently nasty weather, Bay Meadows concluded its 2005-06 holiday meeting Feb. 5, with significant on-track gains in attendance and handle averages over last season's comparable figures. A 5.2% dip in wagering outside of Northern California, however, contributed to a 1.5% decline in overall handle.
