The first foal by multiple grade 1 winner Palace Malice was born at Three Chimneys in the early morning of Jan. 12.
J. Michael O'Farrell Jr.'s Ocala Stud has set 2017 stud fees for its expanded 13-stallion roster, led again by Canadian Horse of the Year Uncaptured and grade I winner The Big Beast, who will both stand for a fee of $6,000, stands and nurses.

Twelve-time defending Gulfstream Park Championship Meet leading trainer Todd Pletcher reached a personal milestone March 18, when Eagle Scout won the fifth race to give the trainer his 4,000 victory.
Patience paid off for the connections of Blofeld March 5, as the Todd Pletcher trainee picked up the $500,000 Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park.
The trainer's contingent of Itsaknockout, Stanford, Blofeld, and Anchor Down will take aim on 123-pound highweight Valid in the mile test March 5 at Gulfstream Park.

The first reported foal for Uncaptured, Canada's Horse of the Year of 2012, is a filly born Jan. 3 at J. Michael O'Farrell Jr.'s Ocala Stud Farm.
Saraguaro is slated to seek his third straight stakes victory in the $250,000 Sunshine Millions Classic Jan. 16 at Gulfstream, while Flutterby will race for nonagenarian Jerry Bozzo in the Sunshine Millions Distaff.
The first reported foal by grade I winner and Spendthrift Farm stallion Itsmyluckyday is a filly born Jan. 4 at Lake Hamilton Equine in Royal, Ark.
In its last running before being elevated to grade III status for 2016, the $100,000 Harlan's Holiday will offer another highly competitive field that includes a quartet of graded stakes winners Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
The son of Curlin will stand at Three Chimneys Farm.
The grade I-winning son of Speightstown will stand in New York for $7,500 live foal.
Crossed Sabres Farm's Valid gamely put away an onslaught of closers to win the $75,000 Groomstick Stakes Sept. 26 at Gulfstream Park.
Private Zone went out to the lead unchallenged in the seven-furlong Forego Stakes (gr. I) and remained there throughout to win by open lengths Aug. 29 at Saratoga Race Course.

Palace Malice, a six-time graded stakes winner and the 2013 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) victor, has been retired and will stand stud at Three Chimneys.
The Big Beast won't have to contend with Rock Fall, who beat him by a nose last time out in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt (gr. I). But the seven-furlong Forego came up a tough race nonetheless, with a slew of new sprinters.
No stud plans have been determined for the dead-heat Travers Stakes (gr. I)-winning son of Speightstown.
Godolphin Racing's Bay of Plenty, beaten 24 lengths by the victorious Honor Code in the Metropolitan Handicap (gr. I), rebounded nicely with a wire-to-wire win in the $100,000 Alydar Stakes Aug. 9 at Saratoga.
Classic winner Palace Malice is scheduled to make his first start since May in the $100,000 Alydar Stakes Aug. 9 at Saratoga Race Course.
Dogwood Stable and Three Chimneys Farm's multiple grade I winner Palace Malice worked a bullet five furlongs on Saratoga Race Course's main track Aug. 2 as he nears a return to racing.
Rebounding from an eighth-place finish in the Smile Sprint (gr. II), Newtown Anner Stud and Joseph Bulger's Falling Sky captured the $75,000 Trinniberg Stakes at Gulfstream Park Aug. 1.
