Three winners from last year's Washington Cup Day at Emerald Downs returned with victories on this year's day for state-breds Sept. 7, when an exciting 2-year-old also showcased his talent.
Jockeys Juan Gutierrez and Anne Sanguinetti, involved in a spill in the 10th and final race at Emerald Downs Sept. 15, are now resting comfortably after sustaining separate injuries resulting from the accident.
