Frank J. DeFrancis Memorial Dash Stakes (gr. I) winner Richter Scale, the 123-pound highweight for Wednesday’s $250,000 Forego Handicap (gr. II), will break from post position 10 in the ten-horse field entered for the 6 1/2-furlong race at Saratoga.
Richter Scale heads the likely field for Wednesday’s $250,000 Forego Handicap (gr. II) at Saratoga. The Forego was won last year by Crafty Friend when contested at seven furlongs and will be run at 6 ½ furlongs this year.
Intidab won the $200,000 A.G. Vanderbilt Handicap (gr. II) -- formerly the A Phenomenon Handicap -- by a head on the track at Saratoga Wednesday, but was disqualified and placed second due to a bumping incident in the stretch with Successful Appeal, leaving the latter as the winner.
Richter Scale will attempt to win his first Grade I race in his sixth attempt when he takes on six rivals in the $300,000 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Saturday at Laurel Park.
Robbie Davis made a bold move between horses, then shot up the rail to win the True North Handicap (gr. II) with Intidab by a length over Brutally Frank.
