John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farm outside Lexington announced that millionaire Geri will stand the 2002 breeding season for a fee of $5,000 live foal. Geri is one of three stallions, along with Theatrical and Jade Hunter, owned by the Allen E. Paulson Living Trust who were moved to Hill 'n' Dale since September.
Millionaire Geri's first winner came out July 13 when Dekalv won at five furlongs in :58.64 at Louisiana Downs.
Geri McGuire, a chestnut colt from the first crop of Geri, brought the top price of $215,000 on Tuesday at the Barretts May sale of 2-year-olds in training in Southern California. Ed and Natalie Friendly purchased Geri McGuire, who was consigned by the Havens Bloodstock Agency, agent.
Geri McGuire, a son of freshman sire Geri, and Lit de Hushi, a daughter of Lit de Justice, both worked an eighth-mile in 9.9 seconds on May 11 during the under tack show for the May 15 Barretts May sale of two-year-olds in training.
