    Major Gains for Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale

    The two-night Fasig-Tipton Saratoga select yearling sale concluded Aug. 11 with healthy gains in gross, average, and median. The auction produced a $2 million colt and two others that topped $1 million.

  • Hip 70, a Tapit colt out of the Galileo mare Dress Rehearsal, topped the session at $2 million.

    Bolstered by two Tapit colts that sold for $2 million and $1.2 million, the first session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga selected yearling sale registered gains in gross and average compared with the comparable session in 2014.
