Reddam Racing's Gomo, who earned a berth into the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) with a victory in the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. I), will not run in the $2 million race due to an ankle chip.
Grade II winner My Conquestadory heads an evenly matched field of 12 juvenile fillies in the Oct. 4 Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. I). The two-turn Polytrack event is the first of nine graded stakes this weekend at Keeneland.
John Oxley's Spring in the Air closed with a huge run from mid-pack to win the $400,000 Darley Alcibiades (gr. I) by a length at Keeneland Oct. 5, punching her ticket to the Breeders' Cup.

California, which has the highest number of graded stakes of any racing state, will have four new grade I races in 2007, as a result of a meeting Nov. 30 of the American Graded Stakes Committee.

She's A Devil Due, winner of last year's Walmac International Alcibiades Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland, has been retired due to nagging minor injuries, according to her trainer, Ken McPeek.
With the Breeders' Cup just around the corner, more questions were asked than were answered as favorites were upset in graded stakes.
