    Two colts from Scat Daddy's final crop brought bids of $300,000 each during the Aug. 8 second session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga selected yearling sale. Coolmore's M. V. Magnier was listed as the buyer on the ticket for both colts.

    A  dark bay filly by Orb that is a half sister to graded stakes winner Corfu sold to Solis/Litt Bloodstock on behalf of LNJ Foxwoods after bringing a final bid of $750,000 during the Aug. 8 session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga selected yearling sale.

    Owner, Analyst Olczyk Diagnosed With Colon Cancer

    Hockey great Eddie Olczyk, who also owns Thoroughbreds and serves as an analyst on NBC Sports horse racing broadcasts, released a statement Aug. 8 that he has been diagnosed with a form of colon cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.
