    Fasliyev, European champion 2-year-old and sire of five champions and 32 graded stakes winners, died July 8 at Yushun Stallion Company in Japan. He was 16.

  • Internet Gambling Settlement Awards Kentucky

    Kentucky has received a settlement of more than $6 million following its efforts to halt unregulated online gambling in the state. Five years ago Kentucky seized 141 domain names it said were used for unlicensed gambling.

  • Licensing Hearing for Godolphin's Appleby

    Charlie Appleby is scheduled to meet with the British Horseracing Authority's Licensing Committee July 10 in pursuit of his trainer's certificate. Godolphin has pegged him to take over training at its Moulton Paddocks.
