    Track permitting, Santa Anita Park has a superb dash on tap Jan. 23 when Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Dancing in Silks takes on recent Malibu Stakes (gr. I) victor M One Rifle in the $150,000 Palos Verdes Handicap (gr. II).

  • First Foal Born at Pauls Mill

    A Bernardini filly foaled Jan. 19 is the first horse born at Paul Mills near Versailles, Ky., since Ben P. Walden Jr. and his wife, Elaine, purchased the farm in 2008.

  • Canterbury to Host Claiming Crown in 2010

    Canterbury Park will host this year's Claiming Crown on July 24. The Claiming Crown, which was patterned after the Breeders' Cup, will offer six races at varying distances on dirt and turf to claiming level horses.
