    Frank Stronach, owner of Adena Springs and chairman of Magna Entertainment, paid $1.085 million for Miss Isella, a grade II-winning daughter of Silver Charm and a half-sister to grade II winner Sir Cherokee.

    A mare who had brought $1.75 and $1 million at past sales, failed to meet her reserve when the bidding stopped at $775,000 at the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale Jan. 12.

    A 3-year-old Distorted Humor filly named Age of Humor was bought for $350,000 by Steve Davidson and Randy Gullatt's Versailles, Ky.-based Twin Creeks Farm at the Jan. 12 session of the Keeneland January sale.
