Mystery vouchers worth $2.3 million have been mailed out by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA). Included is a $1.75 million grand prize.
The second of four mystery voucher promotions scheduled for this year may be redeemed for cash on April 13 at participating racetracks and OTBs. The grand prize for subsequent mystery mutuel voucher promotions will be increased by $250,000 until the grand prize is redeemed.
Mystery mutuel vouchers are coded tickets worth from $2 to $1.75 million that are distributed in local markets via direct mail. Since last year, more than $8 million worth of vouchers have been circulated, resulting in double-digit increases in pari-mutuel handle and attendance at most participating sites compared to the same weekend date from the prior year.
The 17 sites participating on April 13 are: Aqueduct, Bay Meadows, Blue Ribbon Downs, Canterbury Park, Connecticut OTB, Emerald Downs, Hollywood Park, Hoosier Park, Los Alamitos, Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, Maryland Jockey Club (Pimlico and Laurel Park), Prairie Meadows, Remington Park, River Downs, Sam Houston Race Park, Santa Anita Park, Sportsman's Park, and Turf Paradise.
