Grade I winner Swagger Jack   has been retired from racing and will stand at Millennium Farms in Kentucky in 2014 as part of a partnership, farm owner Ro Parra said Nov. 25.

Swagger Jack, a 5-year-old horse by Smart Strike   out of The Minstrel mare Lyrical Prayer, was bred in Virginia by Edward P. Evans. He will stand for a fee of $7,500, live foal and nurses.

Swagger Jack won the 2013 Carter Handicap (gr. I), in which he defeated second-place finisher Sahara Sky, who subsequently won the grade I Metropolitan Mile Handicap.

"When I was first told about Swagger Jack, I wasn't familiar with him," Parra said in a release. "Once I did my research, I was blown away. When my team told me how great-looking he was, it took me a nanosecond to decide. My partner Tommy Hamilton and I plan to offer our full support of this stallion throughout the course of his career."
