A weanling colt by hot sire War Front   out of a half sister to Horse of the Year Zenyatta sold to John Magnier's Coolmore for $800,000 Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale in Lexington.

Born Feb. 2, the colt is the second foal out of the unplaced Pulpit mare Treasure Trail, who is a half sister to Horse of the Year Zenyatta, multiple grade I winner Balance, and stakes winner Where's Bailey. Treasure Trail is out of the Kris S. mare Vertigineux.

Consigned by Claiborne Farm, agent, the colt was bred in Kentucky by Edward Cox Jr.

"He's a very nice horse, and all the lads liked him," said Coolmore's M. V. Magnier. "He comes from a great family, and War Front is having another great year. We'll bring him back to Ashford and raise him there, and then we'll see."

Treasure Trail's first foal is an unraced 2-year-old filly by Street Cry named Terrific Treasure.
