Arrowfield Farm in Australia reported six mares have been confirmed in foal to Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Animal Kingdom  , who began his stud career Down Under.

According to a release from John Messara's Arrowfield, the mares covered by the Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) winner include group I winner Vitesse Dane, group II winner Meriene de Lago, and group III winner Suspicion.

"He's the smartest first season stallion I have seen in the barn," said Arrowfield operations manager Sam Fairgray said of the son of Leroidesanimaux  , "an absolute natural and a pleasure to work with."

After standing the Southern Hemisphere season, where his stud fee is Aus$38,500, Animal Kingdom will return to the U.S. to stand the 2014 season at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley near Lexington.

Meanwhile, Arrowfield announced that five-time group I winner It's a Dundeel, a son of High Chaparral who remains in training, will enter stud at the New South Wales farm in 2014. The release said syndication of the stallion will be considered at a later time.
