While Book 1 of the 2013 Keeneland September sale concluded Sept. 12, the world's largest yearling sale will continue to offer youngsters from mares who have excelled on the track and as broodmares.
This list spotlights nine yearlings out of grade I-winning mares who already have produced at least one stakes winner. The combination of those two requirements brought up 22 Keeneland September yearlings, 13 that were offered in the first four sessions. Those Book One yearlings included an Indian Charlie filly out of Take Charge Lady who sold for $2.2 million.
There are nine other qualifying yearlings remaining in the sale—even a filly to be offered in the final session of the 12-day auction—who meet these requirements. (The list was generated based on progeny accomplishments through Sept. 2.)
