Trainer Kellyn Gorder has purchased nine acres of property near Lexington from the Keeneland Association for $465,000.
According to the Lexington Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator office of David O'Neill, Gorder closed the transaction for the tract at 3682 Rosalie Road on May 31. The address is about 1.3 miles from Keeneland.
The PVA records show the property was acquired by Keeneland in 1988 and has four barns and a run-in shed, all built in 2010. Also on the property is a 2,106-square-foot brick residence.
A spokeswoman said Keeneland had previously used the Rosalie Road property for staff housing.
Before Keeneland, the property was owned by Felty Yoder, who bred and raced 1978 Charles H. Strub Stakes (gr. I) winner Mr. Redoy (Yoder spelled backwards).
