Dear Reader,

We are pleased to announce the birth of bloodhorse.com. bloodhorse.com represents the fourth-generation Thoroughbred racing and breeding web site published by The Blood-Horse, Inc. in nearly five years. When we launched our first web site, The Blood-Horse Interactive, in November of 1995, our mission was simple: to provide the best from the pages of The Blood-Horse magazine in a timely online format. Simply put, we were blown away by the response. Not only were our magazine subscribers happy with the ability to acquire such information in a timely manner, but we were amazed at the new "online" readers we attracted from all over the globe.

It is to you, our "online" audience, that we dedicate our new site. This project started from square one nearly nine months ago. Our goal was to provide the most current news, information, and statistics to a broad audience of racing fans and professionals alike. The result: We have divided the content of our site into distinct channels. At this time our channels include the following:

In the coming months, we will be adding more content and more channels. Among the enhancements introduced in our fourth-generation site include the addition of round-the-clock news and photos from Associated Press, enhanced statistics, improved search capabilities, and much more.

Last, and not to be overlooked, is the complete change of our brand from The Blood-Horse Interactive to bloodhorse.com. We want our readers to recognize that this service is unique and distinct from the information published in the pages of The Blood-Horse magazine. Online, our focus at bloodhorse.com is timely news and statistical information. Our magazine will continue to provide the award-winning excellence and in-depth coverage that make it a must-read for any racing fan, owner, breeder, etc. We believe that our new web service is the perfect complement to the other publishing efforts of our company.

We will also be making available a number of new online subscriber services, which include:

The Blood-Horse Magazine Archives

As always, we are interested in your feedback. We hope that you will benefit from the enhancements of this service. We are pleased that we can continue to offer this service at no charge to readers. We continue to be an advertiser-supported service and take great pains to ensure that the advertisers we attract offer the industry's finest products and services. If you choose to do business with our advertisers and sponsors, please mention that you noticed their ads on bloodhorse.com.

Sincerely,
