Richard Davis' Master Rick will try for a third straight win overall and second graded stakes score in a row when he faces four other rivals in the $300,000 Lone Star Park Handicap (gr. III) on Memorial Day May 27.

In his previous start one month ago, Master Rick rallied from fourth to secure the first graded stakes win of his career in the Texas Mile Stakes (gr. III) at Lone Star Park. That victory marked the second straight win for the 4-year-old Master Command colt who won a one-mile allowance/optional claiming race Feb. 28 at Oaklawn Park.

In winning the Texas Mile, Master Rick edged stablemate Prayer for Relief by 1 1/4 lengths. Trainer Steve Asmussen again has entered both horses in Monday's 1 1/16-mile race for 3-year-olds and up.

Another horse entering off a stakes win will be J. Kirk and Judy Robison's Isn't He Clever, a 4-year-old Smarty Jones   gelding who captured the Bill Thomas Memorial Stakes March 24 at Sunland Parkthe fourth stakes win of his career.

Grade III winner Battle Hardened enters off back-to-back allowance wins.
