A former Keeneland employee who serviced and maintained ATM machines at the Lexington track is facing federal charges for the theft of nearly $800,000 that was to be supplied to the machines.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that a 12-count indictment was filed Wednesday, April 10 in U.S. District Court charging Larry Wilson, of Richmond, with wire fraud, filing false income tax returns, money laundering, and committing fraud as part of money laundering. The paper reports the offenses date from 2007-2010.
Keeneland fired Wilson nearly four years ago, in May 2009.
