Dual graded stakes winner Mad Flatter   will stand at Glen and Becky Brok's Diamond B Farm near Mohrsville, Pa.

The son of Flatter   retired with a record of 8-1-5 from 28 starts, for earnings of $354,843. He will stand for $2,500 in 2013.

Back-to-back winner of the Spend A Buck Handicap (gr. III) at Calder Race Course, Mad Flatter captured the 2010 edition by 6 1/4 lengths, earning a 104 Beyer in a spectacular performance.

Out of the Honor Grades mare Miss Pangea, the versatile Mad Flatter won from ages 2 to 6 on dirt and synthetic surfaces, at four different racetracks, and at distances from 6 furlongs to 1 1/16 miles.  Early in his career, he showed the aptitude and promise to be on the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) trail, but injury interrupted that dream.

"He seemed to prefer two turns and dirt, was good enough to place in the Washington Park (Handicap gr. III) at Arlington Park on an artificial surface at 1 3/16 miles, beaten only three quarters of a length, and to win consecutive Spend A Bucks without taking a deep breath," said Bonnie Heath, who bred and co-owned the horse in a partnership. "With his outstanding bone, size, conformation, and class, Mad Flatter offers breeders the speed, stamina, and versatility needed for tomorrow's racing.

"We're taken with Mad Flatter's size, substance, and balance," said Glenn Brok. "He is such an athletic individual. In the words of the great John Nerud of Tartan Farm fame, 'Milers make the best stallions.' Mad Flatter was an exceptional miler, with speed. We are excited to add such an impressive racehorse to our roster."

Mad Flatter has two crosses of Broodmare of the Year, Weekend Surprise, and is from the female family of the English filly Triple Crown winner, Oh So Sharp. He also has three crosses of the female family of the great sire of sires, Nasrullah. Many successful stallions, such as A.P. Indy, have come from the Weekend Surprise/Lassie Dear female family.
