Dangerous Midge, winner of the 2010 Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT), has been sold for stallion duty in Chile. The 6-year-old son of Lion Heart raced for Iraj Parvizi.

Dangerous Midge earned $1,620,000 in the Breeders' Cup Turf. He also won the Dubai Duty Free Arc Trial (Eng-III) and was retired with a record of 6-0-1 from 17 starts and earnings of $1,790,324.

Dangerous Midge will begin his stallion career at Haras Porta Pia. The horse is currently in France and will not clear quarantine in time to cover a full 2012 Southern Hemisphere season, so his first season will be in 2013.

Bred in Kentucky by Tony Holmes and Dr. Walter Zent, Dangerous Midge is out of French group III stakes-placed runner Adored Slew (by Seattle Slew). His third dam is North American champion Straight Deal.

He was purchased by Angela Sykes, agent, for $120,000 from the Eaton Sales consignment to the 2007 Keeneland September yearling sale.
