Salamera won the J J'sdream Stakes at Calder on June 30.

A field of six 2-year-old fillies, including a recent impressive maiden winner and two stakes winners, are set to contest the Aug. 12 Adirondack Stakes (gr. II) at Saratoga Race Course.

The 6 1/2-furlong Adirondack on the main track is the 10th race on a card that also includes the Saratoga Special (gr. II) for 2-year-old males.

High weight of 120 pounds is shared by Tanourin Stable's homebred Salamera, winner of the $100,000 J J'sdream Stakes at Calder Casino & Race Course June 30, and Cayllano, winner of an overnight stakes at Delaware Park July 4.

Salamera's stakes victory, by a neck, was the second win in as many career starts for the Florida-bred roan daughter of Successful Appeal who had drawn off to break her maiden by 4 1/4 lengths at Calder for trainer Rodolfo Garcia.

Cayllano, trained by Tom Amoss for GoldMark Farm, smashed the competition in both of her career starts to date, breaking her maiden by nine lengths at Indiana Downs before rolling to an 8 1/2-length triumph in the White Clay Creek Overnight Stakes at Delaware Park. The daughter of Bluegrass Cat   bred by WinStar Farm cost $90,000 when purchased at the 2011 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky select yearling sale.

Although not yet a stakes winner, Kauai Katie will be a factor in the Adirondack if her maiden win is any indication. The daughter of Malibu Moon   trained by Todd Pletcher for Stonestreet Stables overcame a troubled start and then romped to a 12-length win at Saratoga July 20 in her career debut. A $90,000 Keeneland September sale yearling who went on to bring $490,000 at this year's Fasig-Tipton Florida sale of select 2-year-olds in training, Kauai Katie zipped the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:03.66 in her maiden win.

Two other Adirondack starters with stakes experience are Spendthrift Farm's Fully Living and Ice Wine Stable's Sweet Shirley Mae, the respective fourth- and fifth-place finishers in the July 20 Schuylerville Stakes (gr. III) at Saratoga.

A bay daughter of Unbridled's Song trained by Kenny McPeek, Fully Living broke her maiden at Belmont Park before going in the Schuylerville, won by So Many Ways.

A daughter of Broken Vow   trained by Wesley Ward, Sweet Shirley Mae broke her maiden by 1 1/2 lengths previous to the Schuylerville.

The field is completed by Arindel Farm homebred Vitameta, a Street Sense   filly who led from start to finish while breaking her maiden by seven lengths in her only start. She is trained by David Fawkes.
