Thoroughbred racing will be featured Thursday, June 7, across the NBC television properties. Below is a schedule of racing-related offerings:
1. CNBC Sports Biz: Game On, hosted by Darren Rovell
Time/Network: 7:00 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network
Guests: J. Paul Reddam, Case Clay, Mario Gutierrez, Patrice Wolfson, and Larry Collmus
Darren Rovell’s sports business show focuses on the $200 billion business of professional sports, including ownership, labor, media, sponsorship, marketing, merchandise, facilities and executives.
The 30-minute show features segments such as: “Power Player,” where Rovell interviews sports business newsmakers; “The Scoreboard," in which Rovell and his sideline reporter, Erin Sharoni, review the sports business winners and losers of the week; and "Heavy Hitters," in which Rovell calls up insiders to break down how one aspect of the business works. Rovell’s more than 200,000 Twitter followers also play an active role in the show.
2. I’ll Have Another - Charging Toward History
Time/Network: 7:30 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network
With access to I’ll Have Another and Team O’Neill and the connections of other major challengers, including Dale Romans (Dullahan), and Michael Matz (Union Rags), America's Best Racing will bring viewers into the inner world of horse racing, providing an look at the days and events leading up to the June 9 Belmont Stakes.
“I’ll Have Another – Charging Toward History” premieres June 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET on the NBC Sports Network with re-airs June 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET and kicking off the June 9 Belmont Day coverage at 2:30 p.m. ET.
