More Than Ready  , a premier shuttle stallion, has joined his sire in the century club. One of 172 stakes winners sired by Southern Halo, More Than Ready got his 100th stakes winner May 12 when his Australian-bred daughter Oak Park, out of Dawnie Dancer, won the listed NZ$50,000 Windsor Park Rotorua Stakes over 1,400 meters at Arawa Park.

More Than Ready, who is based at Tom Simon’s Vinery near Lexington and shuttles to Vinery Australia, has achieved great success with graded winners and group winners in both hemispheres. Three of his runners are Breeders’ Cup winners: More Than Real, Pluck, and Regally Ready. Pluck, who won the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IIT), will enter stud this year at Vinery Australia.

Fifteen-year-old More Than Ready is in the midst of a stellar year. His eight stakes winners include several overseas group I winners, plus Hungry Island, winner of the Churchill Downs Distaff Turf Mile (gr. IIIT) May 5. More Than Ready has sired the career earners of more than $83 million.

As a racehorse, More Than Ready won the King’s Bishop Stakes (gr. I) and five other stakes on his way to millionaire status.

More Than Ready, who is out of the Woodman mare Woodman’s Girl, stands for $60,000.
