Dream of Summer, dam of grade I winner Creative Cause  , gave birth to a gray filly by Eskendereya   at Taylor Made Farm on the evening of March 28.

The filly is from the first crop of the grade I winner Eskendereya, a son of leading sire Giant's Causeway  , making her a three-quarter sister to Creative Cause.

Creative Cause is one of the leading contenders for the 20102 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I). A grade I winner at 2, the gray/roan colt won the San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) in his most recent start.

Dream of Summer won the 2005 Apple Blossom Handicap (gr. I) and five other stakes races, earning more than $1.1 million.

Like Creative Cause, the newly-born filly will be raised at Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., for her breeder, James C. Weigel.

Taylor Made reported that Dream of Summer would be bred back to Giant's Causeway.
