Latent Heat, a grade I winner, sired his first winner when his daughter Starship Flash won at Calder Race Course June 11 (VIDEO).

Making her first start, Starship Flash scored by a neck in the 4 1/2-furlong race for owner Starship Stables.
Bred in Florida by Susan Kahn, Starship Flash was produced from the Open Forum mare Bali Silver, a half sister to graded stakes winner Paula Revere.

Latent  Heat (Maria's Mon—True Flare, by Capote) won the Malibu Stakes (gr. I) and the San Carlos Handicap (gr. II) and placed in two graded stakes. He stands for $8,500 at Woods Edge Farm near Lexington.
