Trainer Todd Pletcher and jockey Ramon Dominguez captured the trainer and jockey titles, respectively, during the Belmont Park spring/summer meet that ended July 18.

Dominguez finished the meet with 73 winners, 23 more than runner-up Javier Castellano, to earn his ninth straight riding title on the New York Racing Association circuit. With 25 winners, four more than Gary Contessa, Pletcher took his 22nd NYRA meet title.

Nationally, through July 18, Dominguez ranked first in wins with 204 and first in purses earned ($8.1 million). Pletcher was first in purses earned among trainers with $12.9 million and second in races won with 159.

Michael Dubb was the leading owner with 15 winners, taking his first meet title.

NYRA racing now moves upstate for the 40-day Saratoga Race Course meet that begins July 23 and runs through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6.
