Horse Racing Radio Sets Preakness Coverage

For the third consecutive year, the Horse Racing Radio Network will provide the exclusive terrestrial radio broadcast of the Preakness Stakes (gr. I).

Live coverage of the 135th Preakness on May 15 from Pimlico Racecourse in Baltimore, Md., will be from 5-7 p.m. EDT. The broadcast will be carried on multiple HRRN affiliates throughout the country as well as the American Forces Network. The coverage can be accessed online at the HRRN Web site.

In addition to the Preakness Stakes, HRRN will host two hours of Black Eyed Susan (gr. II) coverage from 4-6 p.m. EDT on May 14. The May 15 coverage will also include the Preakness undercard stakes from 2-4 p.m. EDT and the weekly "Equine Forum" will air live from Pimlico from 8-10 a.m. ET. The "Equine Forum" airs on WLXO 96.1 FM in Lexington, Ky., and can also be accessed at HRRN’s Web site.

Mike Penna will anchor the HRRN coverage along with Jude Feld, Rolly Hoyt, and Sean Clancy. Adam Frenier and John Edwards will produce.
