Dr. Larry Bramlage, representing the American Association of Equine Practitioners'  "On Call" program will once again assist NBC Sports and ESPN during the live racing telecasts of the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) and Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

Larry Bramlage will be on hand to provide reports and horse-health information to the media regarding the athletes in the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby Day races.

As an additional resource to journalists, the AAEP's online "Media Guide to Equine Sport" provides a medical index, illustrations, a glossary of terms and other references regarding the care of the equine athlete.

The guide is available at http://www.aaep.org/media_guide_to_equine_sport.htm.

The “On Call” program received the 2008 Special Eclipse Award for its contributions to Thoroughbred racing. The AAEP, headquartered in Lexington, was founded in 1954 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and welfare of the horse.
