Three New Members to British Jockey Club

Trainer John Dunlop was among the three new members elected to the British Jockey Club at the orgniazation's Dec. 14 meeting.

Dunlop, 70, the leading trainer in Great Britain in 1995, was elected as an honorary member of the Jockey Club. Since beginning his training career in 1966, Dunlop has been represented by more than 3,000 winners, including 74 group I winners, 10 British classic winners, and the winners of six classics in Ireland. Dunlop's two sons, Ed and Harry, are also trainers.

Elected as ordinary members of the The Jockey Club during the meeting were Sara Cumani, wife of trainer Luca Cumani, and Nigel Churton, chairman of the Chester Racecourse Company.
