Stormy B, sold in foal to Tiz Wonderful for $67,000, headlined the Nov. 19 session of Keeneland’s November breeding stock sale. 
 
Audrey/Emily signed the ticket for Stormy B, a 4-year-old mare by Cherokee Run. Out of the Deputy Minister mare Seoul, Stormy B is a half-sister to Nijinsky Stakes (gr. II) winner Rush Bay. She was consigned by Mr. and Mrs. Jody Huckabay’s Elm Tree Farm, agent.

A weanling colt from the first crop of Political Force brought the day’s second-highest price of $57,000 from Baccari Bloodstock. Consigned by Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services, agent, the colt is from the family of multiple graded stakes winners Expressive Dance, General Assembly, and Chief Honcho.
 
Gross receipts for the 10th session Nov. 19 totaled $2,253,900, down 12.66% from the $2,580,500 posted last year. The session average of $9,431 decreased 34.95% from the $14,497 recorded in 2008, while the median of $6,000 was down 50% from last year’s $12,000. A total of 239 horses were sold this year compared to 178 in 2008.
 
Cumulatively, 2,261 horses have been sold for $155,950,000, down 11.33% from last year’s $175,875,300 when 1,999 horses were sold. Average decreased 21.60% from $87,982 to $68,974.  The median of $27,000 was down 28.95% from last year’s $38,000.
