Three participants in this year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships – Diamondrella, Lethal Heat, and Magical Fantasy --  were scheduled to be offered at the Nov. 10 Fasig-Tipton November select mixed sale in Lexington as of Nov. 9. Grade I winner Diamondrella finished 11th in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint; grade II winner Lethal Heat was seventh in the Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (gr.  I); and grade I winner Magical Fantasy finished fifth in the Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT).

Scratched from the auction was Red Rocks, fifth in the Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. IT) after winning the race (when it was sponsored by John Deere) in 2006 and finishing 10th in 2008. Also scratched was grade I-placed Silver Swallow, who finished sixth in the Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (gr. I).

Allicansayiswow, who was scratched from the Filly & Mare Sprint, was still in the Fasig-Tipton sale.

Some horses in the auction with close ties to this year’s Breeders’ Cup connections are Holiday Runner and Private Feeling. Holiday Runner, who is in foal to Tiznow  , is the dam of grade I winner Seventh Street, who finished eighth in the Filly & Mare Sprint. Private Feeling, who is in foal to Mr. Greeley, is the dam of Lookin at Lucky  , who was second, beaten only a head, in the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I). Private Feeling also is the dam of 2009 grade II winner Kensei (by Mr. Greeley).

Grade II winner Evita Argentina, who finished seventh in the Filly & Mare Sprint, was scratched from the Keeneland November breeding stock sale, which will begin Nov. 10 in Lexington.
