The Maryland Jockey Club unveiled the 2010 Preakness logo Sept. 17. The middle leg of the Triple Crown, a $1 million race at 1 3/16 mile, will be run May 15 at Pimilco.
For the 11th consecutive year, the Leffler Agency of Baltimore and Tampa designed the official Preakness logo. Four times this decade their Preakness designs have won major national awards for the agency.
Preakness - a single word says it all! The 2010 logo proclaims "Preakness" with three horses and jockeys racing across the text. In the subtext below "Preakness," a Black-Eyed Susan sprouts out between the date, venue, and city.
Tickets for the 2010 Preakness will go on sale Oct. 1. Seating information and ticket reservation forms will be found at www.preakness.com. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Preakness sales office at 410-542-9400 or 877-206-8042, extension 300 or logging on to www.ticketmaster.com.
