Despite 12 grade I stakes this weekend at Belmont Park and Oak Tree at Santa Anita, the only TV coverage will be provided by TVG and HRTV, although a spokesperson for the NTRA said the Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I), featuring Curlin, may be shown on ESPN Classic or ESPN News. That, however, has yet to be decided.

TVG and HRTV both will televise the big grade I stakes from Belmont Park Sept. 27 – the Gold Cup, Joe Hirsch Turf Classic, Beldame, Flower Bowl, and Vosburgh. On Sunday, Belmont will run the Kelso Handicap, Pilgrim Stakes, and Miss Grillo Stakes.

TVG has exclusive rights to the grade I extravaganza at Oak Tree Sept. 27 and 28. The stakes on tap are the Goodwood, Clement Hirsch Turf Championship, Ancient Title, Lady’s Secret, Yellow Ribbon, and Oak Leaf on Saturday, and the Norfolk and grade II Oak Tree Mile on Sunday.

TVG also has exclusive rights to the Sept. 27 Kentucky Cup races, headed by the grade II Kentucky Cup Classic, and to the grade II Hawthorne Gold Cup the same day.
