One race after Dixie Dot Com takes on seven rivals in Monday's $300,000 Lone Star Park Handicap (gr. III), Hallowed Dreams will race outside of her home state for the first time. The Louisiana-bred daughter of Malagra, who won her first 16 career races, is the 7-5 morning-line favorite and 123-pound highweight for the $100,000 Valid Expectations Handicap.

A six-furlong event for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up, the Valid Expectations has drawn a field of seven, including multiple stakes winners My Brent's Diamond and Miss Seffens.

Since having her record-tying win streak snapped last August, Hallowed Dreams was given a freshening before returning in October at Louisiana Downs, winning an optional claiming race on turf. That win began a five-race winning streak which she brings with her to Texas. As part of her current streak, she won the $125,000 Victoria Lass Handicap at Fair Grounds, setting a course record by running the six furlongs in 1:08.34.

The Valid Expectations and Lone Star Park Handicaps are part of a seven stakes race program billed as "Lone Star Million Day." Cumulative purses for the seven stakes races is $1 million. (Entries, Equibase)
