El Nino, a grade II stakes-placed runner at Saratoga, will enter stud in 2008 at Eddie Martin's Martin Stables South near Ocala, Fla. His fee is $5,000.

A 4-year-old son of Storm Cat, El Nino won or placed in eight of 15 races and earned $153,849 as a homebred for the Young family's Overbrook Farm. He was stakes-placed at 6 1/2 furlongs in the Amsterdam Stakes (gr. II) at Saratoga, and twice at a mile, in the Awad Stakes on turf and the Forestry Handicap.

El Nino is out of the winning Forty Niner mare Bay Harbor, a half-sister to champion Boston Harbor. His stakes-winning second dam, Harbor Springs, is a half-sister to champion sprinter Groovy.
