Grade I winner Proud Accolade will stand the 2008 breeding season at Bridlewood Farm in Summerfield, Fla., it was announced today by Padua Stables and Bridlewood Farm.

“We want to continue to support the Florida breeding program, and Bridlewood is doing an outstanding job with their young stallions,” said Satish Sanan.

In his first stakes attempt, Proud Accolade defeated classic winner Afleet Alex at level weights, winning the 2004 Champagne Stakes (gr. I). His first foals arrived this spring.

“We are very impressed with his foals and look forward to getting out and inspecting more,” said George Isaacs, Bridlewood's general manager. “We expect them to sell very well at OBS in October.

“With the excellent success his sire had here, and his pedigree being a complete outcross for Mr. Prospector and Northern Dancer, we feel Proud Accolade is a perfect match for many of Florida’s broodmares.”

Proud Accolade will stand as the property of Padua Stables. His 2008 fee will be announced later.
