Sunday Break, a grade II winner by Forty Niner, was represented by his first winner when his son Blue Cross Boy won at six furlongs Aug. 1 at Redcar in England. Bred in Kentucky by Dennis and Michael Narlinger's JMJ Racing Stables, Blue Cross Boy races for Transcend Bloodstock. Purchased for $89,122 at the Doncaster April 2-year-old sale, he is the first foal from the winning Cozzene mare Introducer.
Japanese-bred Sunday Break, who ran third in the 2002 Belmont Stakes (gr. I), was produced from the Storm Cat mare Catequil. He stands at John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell's Walmac Farm near Lexington. His 2007 fee was $7,500.
