(Edited press release)

Global Pari-Mutuel Services, Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Royal Turf Club, Antigua, has launched its product with International de Entretenimiento y Apuestas Deportivas (IDEA).  IDEA operates under the name UNO Race & Sports, a company with off-track wagering parlors in Mexico.

Under the terms of the agreement, Global Pari-Mutuel will provide hub and simulcast services, as well as track content to IDEA for pari-mutuel wagering on horse and greyhound racing events in the U.S. and/or racetracks outside of the U.S.  The product was launched Feb. 24.

“We are excited to sign this agreement with IDEA,” said Jim Egide, chief executive officer of Global Pari-Mutuel.  “Pari-mutuel wagering is currently the only legal form of online wagering in the U.S., and we believe there is a significant market for our wagering product.  We consider this contract a first step toward a worldwide rollout of our proprietary platform.”
