Delaware North Names Vice President of Finance
Edited press releaseMichael Corbin has been named to the new position of vice president of finance for Delaware North Companies Gaming & Entertainment, which is expanding from a racing company to a full-scale hospitality company.Corbin will be responsible for all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, financial analysis, and internal controls and compliance for the company's operations in five states and Mexico. He will assist in new business development and start-up of new gaming ventures for the company, including the launch of electronic games at Southland Greyhound Park in Arkansas.Delaware North owns Finger Lakes Gaming & Racing in New York, and also oversees video lottery terminals at two New York harness tracks. The company also owns Wheeling Island, a West Virginia Greyhound racino. He has grown with the company from its beginning as a racing operation and it is only fitting that he continues to grow in his career as the company maintains its commitment to be a global leader in hospitality and entertainment."Corbin joined the company in August 1989 as a senior financial analyst, and was appointed group controller in April 1996. The company specializes in racetracks with added amenities, including video gaming machines, poker rooms, full-service restaurants, retail shops, and lodging. The company oversees more than 5,500 video gaming machines across the country.
