In his next two starts, he ran second by a half-length to Oratorio in both the Coral Eclipse Stakes (Eng-I) and the Sept. 10 Baileys Irish Champion Stakes (Ire-I). Motivator will retire after running in the Oct. 2 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I) and the Oct. 29 John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf (gr.
